Resultó una motivación especial para las expediciones hacia lo desconocido y anhelado, engrandeciéndose con descubrimientos efectivos que fueron ejemplos de objetivos a alcanzar, aunque las más de las veces exageraron para conseguir prerrogativas de la corona.
