I’m really hoping the current system is not the new SBMM because I’ve had more incompetent teammates and master 3 stacks than ever before in the past few days. Legit feels like SBMM is fully turned off. Seriously, I had teammates with 8 and 10 kills and the champ squad had 21k and 11k kills.

The times i came back to apex after not playing for a few weeks/months i got put in mostly Masters lobbies and i’ve never been close to those ranks. This was before the changes they are making to the matchmaking but it was frustrating as hell

I came back a few weeks ago after not playing for 5 months bc I didn’t have a monitor. Needless to say, things just kinda went back to normal after four or five really good matches.

I haven’t played since the beginning of the season, i hopped on yesterday and on my first match I had two pred teammates and the champion was a wraith with 50k kills. that was my first and last game last night 😀

I always stop playing for a few weeks or even months and get into easier lobbies so the first games I play after days are fun then it flatlines back to hell.

A headache? I found their post particularly simple and interesting, but to each his own I guess. In any case, if one being absent from the game affects the match-making, it would mean they lied, since they claim the match-making has nothing to do with engagement, and everything about skill.

I did this and won my first match of apex, then I was in lobbies filled with predators. I don’t think that is skill based at all. Or even proper matchmaking at the slightest.
