fresh season just feels like a giant love letter to splatoon 1 with inkopolis returning and kraken coming back and even the splatoon 1 victory poses being teased in a promotional image! hopefully this means every special can come back in one way or another

Those blue octopus themed bombs are definitely a new special based off marinas hyper bombs. The more you shoot them, the more they tighten until they explode I bet, so they might be like a reworked bubble blower from splat2. And you can throw three of them most likely

The devs really wanted us to know that they appreciate those of us who started back in Splatoon 1. That’s been apparent from the things that came from that game even in the original state of S3’s release. Now we have Flounder Heights, soon Manta Maria, so many kits returning from S1, THE FREAKIN’ KRAKEN, and even Inkopolis is coming back! It feels like being rewarded for being in on the series at its earliest stages, and I am all for it!

The Jukebox was a datamined feature back when the game released. It was hidden under the floor in the lobby, so from my guess you’ll be able to change the lobby music to whatever you want which is a nice little bit of QoL.

Also I love the Octoling Kraken form so much. I am so happy this special returned.

My thoughts on kraken is that im excited. I never got to play with it against it because I started with splatoon 2 can’t wait to see it in action.

Dude really went from
– being excited about the Side Order DLC
– to disappointment of chocolate Splatfest
– to being excited for the return of Kraken

All we need is a brand new sword and/or bow and I think this update will be perfect legitimately. Tons of new interesting stuff and old stuff returning to the game would make it a perfect blend. Also some crab nerds and then I’ll be ecstatic

I was a Krak On Splat Roller main back in the Splatoon 1 days. This is gonna be so fun to bring back and try again. Even if it isn’t very good, I’m happy!

The jukebox model is actually hidden out of bounds in the main lobby. Data mining hasn’t shown any major files attached to it, but I’m pretty sure it’s been there a while (well before the Chill Season update)

This is really exciting! I never played Splatoon 1, so Fresh Season 2023 will be my first time with the Kraken! From the promotional footage it looks really fun. Also glad Manta Maria is back. Hopefully they don’t do something crazy with its layout like remove the entire right flank…

Pretty sure the Jukebox had been data-mined at launch and if you boundary break the game you can see it in the lobby. Probably a way to change the music. Would be amazing if it was also sound settings in general.
