I think her ult needs a little bit more range, a zoom in mode like Fuse to aim it correctly. Sometimes ur trying to go somewhere and its not registering or something and u cant ult. Also her tactical imo needs 1 or a combination of 2 charges, being able to be used while holding gun like Maggies and to silence mobility abilities.
I think we are gonna wait a long time cause lets be real and it never was a secret. Heirloom = Buffs. So its gonna be a long time till they touch Ash again.

Pretty much have been an ash main for a while, playing tonight felt like her abilities were so much more useful. It wasn’t too crazy but it felt like my snares landed and could use it when I needed to.

I was thinking she needed a little more, maybe more distance on her ult. But she definitely feels a little more balanced now.

Her passive is also nerfed with the inclusion of class 2.0 recon characters can spawn a beacon and has a better ash passive. Her Ult definitely needs work too.

Ash’s ult is more close to an Octane jump pad. It’s good for quick repositioning during fights, where Wraith is for repositioning before or after fights. I don’t play Ashe much, but I’ve found using her ult to get to an angle to kill someone her tactical hit is a good way to using it, similar to how I use an Octane jump pad to take height in a fight.

For competitive: with the 20 dmg to shields, and the added recharge speed, I can see her being used like Fuse, where she just throws her Q behind cover in late game. It’s not AS good as Fuse or Maggie but she has her Portal and Passive that can be pretty useful. I don’t expect to see this on World’s Edge but possibly on Stormpoint. I see her possibly being played by very agressive squads like AURORA, Vexed, etc… Can’t wait to give her a good try this week.

As someone who’s mained ash for several seasons, while her ult could use a buff I guess, the fact that it’s so instantaneous AND can be used vertically makes it so valuable. I’ve been able to make some crazy plays with it and I think those benefits it has still keeps it toe to toe with other mobility abilities.
I won’t complain about extra distance though

PS buff her passive to scan the death boxes of people YOU killed to find their teammates

Bought the heirloom, so I’ve been playing Ash all day. Using her arc snare with Horizons Ult while spamming nades has been insanely fun and effective

Here’s my idea with ash to give you full control of her ultimate , split the ult into two charges and each can’t be used separately like a vantage bullet ,and increase the one portal to about 45m and if their both charged it allows for a 90m portal with an extra click either to redirect it or continue straight , honestly this in my opinion would make her meta and maybe “BETTER” than wraith on top of the tac change, what do you think?

I agree with your take on buffing Ash’s ult. They buffed the distance for Pathfinder and Wraiths ult, they can travel extremely far, Ash needs/deserves the same treatment 💯

I’ve been an Ash main for quite a while now and I think the buff is really good. I do think they can tweak the ultimate a bit but I think she’s god where she’s at for now. I do hope she gets some more love, she’s an awesome character and let’s see how she climbs in pick rate cause I won’t lie, I’m curious to see if it increases a lot or just a bit.

I loved this video. I think a good buff to let ash keep up with wraith is to make her portal take you 80-90 meters so ash will get quicker cooldowns but with less range but wraith will still be viable with longer cooldowns with more range.

Ash’s ultimate needs to deal aoe damage when she exits the port, that would give it a unique function and double down on the element of aggression

I really feel like more range on her ult is a need every one with a mobility ult just got a buff to how far it can go and she just need more especially sins hers goes by sight line it only feels useful from safety or to get a good push not as a good escape from low ground kind of thing ( I still main her tho I like her a lot)

I dont think her ult needs distance, they should make the cooldown shorter making it a reliable one-way aggression/defensive tool.

Edit: Giving it more distance is only going to make it a sub-par wraith portal

A 2019 feel to this video and I’m loving it. I enjoy playing Ash but I’m with you, I think her ult needs more work.

I wish that Ash’s Ult. had 2 charges, and they travel 50 meters each. There could be a three second delay in using consecutive charges (for balancing), but I feel like that would be a lot of fun.

I feel like she’s one or two buffs away from being a major contender. I think if you could zoom in while placing ult would help make it a bit more consistent and making her tactical a “one handed ability” like maggie drill or bang smoke. I dont think she’ll replace wraith tho, but i think thats because they’re played in different roles. Wraith is the de facto entry fragger but i think of ash as secondary or support fragger. My team was running maggie (me), ash, and newcastle earlier today on olympus (diamond 3-2) and it felt like we almost had an answer to everything. A lot of fights we were able to open with a knock with ash’s snare and maggie drill together and able to quickly reposition if 3rd partied to then be pinching one of the other teams. And a wraith couldnt do that because we would have died waiting for the portal. Other than that we were able to deathball our way through most situations. It still may require more messing with tho, because halfway through we went back to mad, cat, castle. But i can see ash getting more high level play in the near future
